California Children Services (CCS)

California Children Services (CCS) provides medical care and rehabilitation for children up to age 21 who have a serious qualifying medical condition. The program assists children and families in obtaining the specialized pediatric medical care authorized by CCS.

Child Health & Disability Prevention (CHDP)

Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) is a program which provides well-child medical check-ups for children. County CHDP staff reviews all exam results and assists parents in getting treatment for identified problems. You may contact the program at (530) 251-8183

Clinic and Oral Health Services

Clinic services provided by Public Health include immunizations, lead poisoning prevention, pregnancy testing, tuberculosis skin testing and diagnostic care, STD testing and treatment, and oral screenings and fluoride varnish applications.

HIV Care & Treatment Programs

The Early Intervention Services Program and HIV Case Management Program provide a wide range of support and care services to persons living with HIV. The goal of these programs is to ensure that individuals with HIV infection have access to skilled, comprehensive outpatient care and support services, therby improving their health and interrupting the transmission of HIV.

Lassen Health Education Advocate Resource Training Screenings (H.E.A.R.T.S.) Program

H.E.A.R.T.S. is a system to help pregnant women, children, and all community members gain access to available health resources and services. 

Local Oral Health Program (LOHP)

The LOHP is a 5-year oral health program funded by Prop 56 and administered through the California Department of Public Health, Oral Health Program. The goal of this program is to improve the oral health in the County of Lassen through education about oral health, dental disease prevention, linkage to treatment, surveillance and case management.

Maternal Child Adolescent Health Program (MCAH)

Maternal Child Adolescent Health coordinates programs for women of childbearing years and children 0 to 18 years of age. The program provides direct services such as Cribs for Kids and outreach, education and referrals. You may contact the program at (530) 251-8183.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP)

The Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program plans response efforts to large-scale public health incidents. These emergencies could include a pandemic, anthrax attack, smallpox outbreak, earthquake, severe winter storm, and more.

Calfresh Healthy Living

CalFresh Healthy Living (SNAP-ED) supports healthy, active, and nourished lifestyles by teaching Californians about good nutrition and how to stretch their food dollars, while also building partnerships in communities to make the healthy choice, the easy choice.

Tobacco Use Reduction Program (TURP)

The Tobacco Use Reduction Program exists to help improve the health of Lassen County's residents by working to reduce preventable, excess death and disease caused by tobacco use and exposure to second hand smoke. The program educates and informs youth and community members about the negative health effects of tobacco and encourages smokers and chewers to access cessation services.
